SAF Is Seeking Accreditation Site Review Volunteers

SAF is seeking Visiting Team Members for accreditation site visits during the 2016-17 academic year. SAF visiting team members should have an interest in the quality of post-secondary educational programs and general knowledge of assessment processes in professional settings. Of primary importance will be the ability to develop and articulate objective opinions and judgments free of self-interest or professional bias. Specifically we seek:
  •  forestry, urban forestry, natural resources and forest technology educators with academic administrative experience; and
  •  non-academic practitioners from all employment sectors.

All team members must be SAF members. These are volunteer positions; expenses are paid, although time is not. Time needed to devote to the accreditation site visit process is generally 5-6 days, including preparation, travel, time on site, and follow up.

For more information on the specifics of the position and its time commitment, please contact Carol Redelsheimer, Director of Science and Education; [email protected] or 301-897-8720 ext. 240.
