Poster Symposium

Poster Abstract Submission Deadline - Sunday, September 12, 2010

The Poster Symposium has been designed to showcase a wide range of projects and programs through current research and field trials, practical applications and innovations, education and outreach and new ideas outside the mainstream of academia and forest practice. Each Symposium is an organized group of 6 to 10 posters around a specific topic and displayed together in the poster area in the Exhibit Hall.

Each poster presenter is assigned a specific time slot to briefly summarize the poster and participate in a moderated question and answer session.

The SAF Forest Science and Technology Board (FS&TB) will be presenting three Student Poster Awards. All interested undergraduate and graduate students who are the primary author of the poster are eligible for the award. Student poster presenters will win awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Poster Guidelines

All posters will be required to fit within a space that is 42 inches wide by 40 inches high. For details, please read the Poster Display Information and Tips.

Submission to Proceedings

All poster presenters will have the opportunity to submit a full paper, extended abstract, or PowerPoint for the Convention Proceedings. Submission instructions will be provided to all selected poster presenters.

Set-up Time

Posters will be set up in the Exhibit Hall and will be arranged by topic area. You will be responsible for the set up of your poster. Your registration will authorize your access to the exhibit hall and poster area. Please do not change the sequence of numbers once you receive your poster assignment.

8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Exhibit and Poster Symposium Times:
Plan to be with your poster to interact with the attendees during the Breaks and Lunch in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday and Friday. A detailed scheduled for the Poster Symposiums will be provided a few weeks after the poster submission deadline.

Taking Posters Down

Friday, October 29 — 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm. All materials must be removed by 5:30 pm on Friday. Materials remaining after that time will be discarded.
