New Projects: Putting Our Foresters’ Fund Dollars to Work

March 23, 2022

Seven Foresters’ Fund proposals for $13,980 were approved for funding for the February deadline cycle. Receiving grant dollars were Mississippi SAF for coordination of teachers conservation workshops; Montana SAF in support of a natural resources youth camp; Northern Wyoming Chapter of Colorado-Wyoming SAF for interpretive signage projects; Portland Chapter of Oregon SAF for a fire lookout interpretive sign project; and New England SAF for a women’s collaborative gathering.

All approved proposals address this year’s key themes of Education and Outreach and Professional Growth, with many telling the story of the role of forest management in advancing sustainable forest management.
