Thank you for applying for CFE credit for your upcoming event. CFE credit is utilized within the forestry and natural resource profession by many organizations including state boards of licensure; Certified Forester® program; and state cooperative forester programs.

Templates

Sign-in sheets or attendance records must be directly returned to the SAF national office NO LATER than 3-weeks after the event by mail, fax or email [email protected]. Providers may also submit registration records or an attendance list. Download the templates below and complete with information regarding your coming event. Please see our NEW Notification/Certificate template form in June of 2024! We ask that you use this form going forward, as it includes a space for the attendee's name and our new SAF logo! Any certificates of attendance used should include a space for the attendee's name for applicable state auditing purposes. 

On Demand Training

CFE credits for on demand training are valid for one-year. Providers must resubmit the training for approval.

Confidentiality

Attendance records will be available to the Certification Review Board and state boards of licensure upon request for validating continuing forestry education requirements within a specific credentialing program. It will also be used during the audit process of CFE coordinators and national office staff. The information will not be used for any other purpose or distributed to a third party.

Trademarks

The Certified Forester and SAF shield logos are registered trademarks of the Society of American Foresters. Approval for CFE credit does not entitle the provider to use these logos. Only programs with pre-approved sponsorship or conducted by an SAF local unit can utilize these logos.
