If I choose not to attend my scheduled examination, will I forfeit my exam fees?
No, for the next 30 days through 4/16/2020, SAF is foregoing any exam rescheduling fees to postpone and/or reschedule your exam date as all test centers in the United States and Canada are closed for 30 days starting March 17. Stay tuned for updates. Please call us at (866) 897-8720 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
regarding more specific questions about the rescheduling of your exam date. Schroeder Measurement Technologies/Prometric will be contacting candidates with exam dates during this period in an effort to prevent them from unnecessarily appearing at testing centers, as well as working to reschedule exams.

Will I be notified in case of an exam cancellation?
Yes, if our examination providers decide to close a testing location resulting in a cancelled or rescheduled exam, candidates will be contacted via the examination provider. If you are currently scheduled for an exam, please check your email and voice messages periodically for notices.
At your earliest convenience, please log in to make sure SAF has the appropriate contact information for you, especially your email. If you are unable to log into your account, you may use the “FORGOT PASSWORD” button available or call us at (866) 897-8720 to verify the information in your account.
If I postpone my re-exam or my re-exam is cancelled how will it affect my one-year retake period?
If you are within one year of your original re-exam date, SAF will add 90 days to your one-year exam retake period.
What if I am due to renew my SAF certification in the next 30-60 days and cannot attain Continuing Forestry Education credits (CFEs) due to event cancellations?
SAF is extending those recertification periods by an additional 120 days to allow for more flexibility. We also encourage credential holders to seek CFE opportunities available online. Be sure to check out online CFE opportunities at ForestEd
and the SAF CFE Event Calendar
What if I am applying to earn my credential and my application deadline is within the next 90 days?
SAF will extend applications periods by an additional 120 days as needed to allow for more flexibility.
What if I am applying for state licensure?
The exam and re-exam questions above will apply to you as well. Be sure to contact your state board of registered foresters to have your state licensure questions addressed.
