SAF2021 is Going Virtual!

May 5, 2020

On Monday, May 3rd, CEO Terry Baker announced that the Society of American Foresters decided to transition to a fully virtual convention format for 2021.  SAF’s virtual National Convention will take place November 3-6, 2021, and will continue to celebrate “Forests For All” and the ecosystems provided by them.

While we will not be meeting in person, we are excited for the opportunity that a virtual format will bring and express our gratitude for the National Convention Programming Committee and California Society of American Foresters.  The committee, co-chaired by Damian Adams and Keith Gilless, has worked diligently with staff to plan an engaging and thought-provoking program aimed to connect attendees on a broader scope.

As you make plans to attend this year’s event, please note that we learned a lot from last year’s virtual convention, and this will be a new experience for all involved.  We will be offering a variety of education, networking, and business development opportunities while reigniting fan favorites like, SAFter Party, People, Policy, & Popcorn, and much more! Get ready to get those competitive juices flowing as the Quiz Bowl will make its virtual return to this year’s convention!!!

We are also delighted to announce that we will be returning to Sacramento, California, for the 2023 SAF National Convention!  We are grateful for our partners and host society for their willingness to work with us in rebooking this event.

Registration for the fully virtual convention will open on July 1, 2021.
